Dimethyl sulfoxide is metabolized in the body to dimethyl sulfone, which corresponds to the well known dietary supplement MSM (methylsulfonylmethane).
DMSO is therefore a rich source of organic sulphur.
As an organic solvent, dimethyl sulphoxide is highly miscible with water and oily substances.
Information
When mixed with other substances, the mixture may heat up slightly.
When stored below 18oC, undiluted DMSO crystallizes. Liquefaction by gentle heating (e.g. in a lukewarm water bath / in the air at room temperature) without loss of quality.
Please note that DMSO promotes the penetration of substances and chemicals through the skin. Therefore, use it with the necessary care.
